Based on new information from Intel®, ASUS is happy to announce that updated Sandy Bridge-based products will begin shipping this week, immediately after the revised design is released by Intel®. This fast response aims to prevent any further inconvenience and interruption to customers.

For notebook products, ASUS will begin by rolling out revised G73SW, N53SV and N53SN models, followed by N43SL, N43SN and N73SV notebooks

Sweeeeet. My gaming laptop died a few weeks ago and I've been patiently waiting for the SW. Just a little longer...

This time around, I think the SW is too expensive so I want to wait to see if they add another 2nd gen laptop.

Sandy bridge + 6970 would be worth it IMO. Sandy alone with a 460M isn't a big enough jump, unless your laptop breaks or something. I might be tempted to trade my JH for a i7-2620 and a 6970 though.

Well that's really a good news :) One less loose end for the G73SH (if ever they would release) to be released soon :p

I'll take the 470m. I prefer nvidia for what I do. The 485m is just too expensive

Hmm, now you guys have me second guessing myself. Maybe I should wait for the 470m or 6970m version. Dell will have the m17x-r3 with 6970m in early march. Asus is the better bargain though.
