I just swapped in a N6200 card, best i would get is 120mbps, but it would fluctuate between 120 and 54 constantly, I reinstalled my stock atheros and it stays steady at 150mbps. ? Router is a Netgear 3500.

Hmm, that is odd, did you make sure the channelwidth is set to 'auto' in wireless properties?

I get a constant 300mbps to my router with my 6200 card. I hated the atheros, it would crash on any files over 500mb when transferring over the network, this happens on any driver I've tried(which was like 3 or 4 different ones).

Yep I had all the correct settings in the router/card.

I cant get over 150 with my 6200 either. I get a max of 4 bars too, despite being a metre away from the router.

For comparison, my dell vostro 3500 connects at 270-300 and always has 5 bars. It is weird and i have all but given up on it because no one has any answers.
