In my opinion a lot of bricked machines can be avoided if people would check the file hash of the new BIOS rom they are going to flash. NEVER just flash a BIOS with a rom file you think is okay because you downloaded it from a respectable source people. ALWAYS check that the file hash value of the downloaded BIOS you are going to flash is exactly the same as the file hash value of the original BIOS that is posted on the web.
And dont use WinFlash.![]()

There are some upsides to winflash - for example, a bad flash can be re-flashed when using winflash.

I used WinFlash and I've probably used ATi WinFlash around a few dozen times now.
