    Hey all,

I feel a little dumb asking, but is it possible to get the full resolution of an LCD TV when you connect the G73 to an external LCD TV that supports a higher resolution than the BB G73? I've connected the lappy via HDMI, but the max resolution I get on the TV is the native res on the ASUS. I haven't tried FN+F8 yet (at work now), but when I connected it before, the image on the TV didn't fill the screen. Thanks in advance.

You have to turn the laptop screen off or close the lid.

Because it's set up as a clone, it mimics the resolution.

You can extend to the TV as well (not clone) but selecting TV only is better. Also, the TV must support Dot by Dot or similar function to use the entire screen. It's a setting on the TV.

    Cheers,

I use the connect to projector display only option for that to get 1080p

Provided that closing the lid doesn't put the laptop to sleep or into hibernation, having the lid closed when the laptop is running is not a good idea. It's better to use Fn+F7, Fn+F8 or WIN+P.
