Okay, so, in order to install the new vBIOS, I'm encouraged to update the BIOS. I got a .zip file which expands to a file named "G73JhAS211". The file is exactly 2MB, which I find encouraging, but EZFlash says it doesn't have the identifying string that is expected and asks me if I want to flash it anyway.

Do I? Or does that mean I have a corrupted file?

I received that error message when I tried to flash the BIOS with the file residing on my secondary hard drive. Moving the file to a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive solved the problem for me.

Inexplicable, and yet, effective! Thanks. It would never have occurred to me to move the file to flash media, but that does indeed eliminate the message.
