    is this detrimental to the laptop? I read in the asus manual that the environment temps should be between 50-90F

    im hoping im okay, i would guess that heat would be far worse for a computer than cold.

    lol it'll be condensation you'll want to watch out for, Make sure it's dry, or the mix of hot computer and cold temps will get your insides slightly wet (in a bad way).

    so should i be worried

    i usually keep hte computer in hibernate when im at work then start it up when i get home

    Just make sure it's not humid down there. If it is humid, worry. If you live in Arizona... nah. no worries.

    Dry, but not TOO dry. . I've already fried one $80.00 mouse by static electricity this winter ;)

    Other than that, cold = good :D
