I just did a fresh windows install on a Kingston 64GB SSD drive. I left the other 500 GB drive in.
Everything installed fine, Chipset drivers, latest 12.1 ATi drivers and then when I went to install the latest intel storage matrix driver it will always BSOD. I can't seem to read the error, but that has to be the issue. I then run the restore wizard and it brings it back to the last known good configuration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You mean intel rapid storage technology or storage matrix. Storage matrix was replaced by RST a long time ago so that might be the issue if you are trying to install storage matrix instead of RST.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried both Storage Matrix off the install CD and then downloaded the latest RST. And both after the windows logo BSOD everytime.

When you downloaded the driver, was it the third one on this page?
11/11/2011 10.8.0.1003 (NOT the F6)
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...roductProduct=Intel®+Rapid+Storage+Technology ?
If that is the one you are using I would try using the 30 day trial version of REVO Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily to remove all traces of Storage Matrix and/or RST, then reboot and do a fresh install of the above linked driver. -
What is the BSOD error message you get? Most important is the 0x...... code and the settence before/after it.

I'll try the above method, thanks for the help. As for the error code, not sure it goes by too fast. I know there is a way to keep the computer from rebooting and staying on the screen. I have been too lazy to search for it.

Press F8 just before Windows starts, after the Bios. There you should get a selection, one of them is something like "disable automatic restart after a crash".

If the program is installed, it should be listed in the programs list in the task manage, if it isn't there, the installation probably never finished.
