"With 1600 x 900 resolution"! that's what I hate the most about it.

Oh also only 1 year warranty and less RAM.

They didnt up the size. this is single 640 GB vs 2 x 500gb.

I was referring to the BB model. The 05 has a 500gb 7200 drive. This one has a 640gb 5400 drive. It seems like they took the 740 chip, put it in a JH, and messed around with some HDD's they had laying around. The screens are the same.

I find the 1600x900 to be 'perfect' in size. Anything higher res, would require me to sit close to the screen. I was actually a bit pissed when Seagate gave me the laptop, but it's ok now.

(It was a Jh-1ATY model, with 1x Momentus XT, 1600x90 screen, 4GB Ram, and an i5 450m. When the i5 died in under a week, I contacted someone at the Asus head office, and they said they would upgrade to the i7 because the shipment from Taiwan to Markham ON, would have taken 8-10 weeks! So, now, I have basically a X-09 model, but upgraded with a harddrive.)

The Best Buy -JW will probably retail for $100 more. Add in taxes, and it's really not worth the difference from the G73JW when you can get it online tax-free.

I'm not in the market anyway...

coming from xotic - for 600 more you get an extra 2gb of ram. a larger hdd 1tb hdd a blu-ray and what else possible same CPU or possible even better and a Nvidia GPU. still no CF or SLI. what are the means of this coming too?

i just don't get it. its just a revision which is a little better. a mx17 could par up to this and it can run CF and probably runs SSD

If it was one of those short run (read discontinued abandoned product) Macs, Apple fans would declare it a collectors item.

So you see the JH-BST7 is really a highly prized collectible complete with limited production run and "unique" configuration. :)

    Cheers,

:D Yet I wonder how those 740s and 640gb drives found their way into the box. Geeksquad touched this. This is tainted.

It doesn't make sense that Geeksquad did the job themselves. Where would they put the old 720qms and the HDs?

You do know we're kidding... (The implication being that they have a bunch of gutted broken machines that were cobbled together with available CPUs and HD)

From the files of "Who Gives a Pewp?" They also bumped the price back up $100.
