The beta vBios thread has numerous different conversations.
How about this, this thread only about vBios results, nothing else. This will make it easier for Gary and his Techs.

No gsod so far. Had a horizontal black bar anomaly in furmark but it ran for 10 minutes otherwise with no problems. Haven't had any extensive testing done yet but looks very promising. -

3) 10.7a
4) Realtek 2.49
5) 700/1000
8) Clean install (uninstallation of previos driver plus driver sweeper in safe mode)
For me the stability doesn't differ in any way compared with stock vbios. FF XIV benchmark gsod's, FurMark gsod's, Futuremark gsod's. Once I even gsod running Microsoft perfomance analyzer from Windows (one that gives points to your system). Usually gsod happens very soon, 0-2 minutes. Flickering and artifacts are also back, usually these come before the actual crash and work as an indicator.
I'd like to add that my system is perfectly stable and without flickering/artifacts with all 3D applications using either stock vbios + 9.12/10.1 drivers from Asus or MSI vbios with any Ati Catalyst drivers. -

3) driver package you are using, and if desktop or mobility
I used the 10.7a download provided via you, Chastity. I also used 10.8 Mobile (64 bit)
4) clock speeds
Unchanged. 700/1000 according to GPUZ.
5) Driver installation method used
Catalyst Install Manager- to uninstall: Uninstall Manager, Uninstall Via Device Manager, SafeMode, Driversweep.
Here's the score:
Black horizontal lines in all cases except the last two. Even black bars and screen jumping without a crash.
2 Brown Screens of Death w/ stripes
1 Black Screen of Death
1 White Screen of Death during a YouTube Video
And a GPU that when under load, it sounds like it's going to blow.
Applications used:
Unigine Heaven (10.7a)- Brown Screen as described above in just a few minutes.
Combat Arms (10.7a)- Black screen within minutes.
Combat Arms (10.8)- Steady. No issues except screen jumps and horizontal black bars. Played about 30 minutes.
Unigine Heaven (10.8)- Ran two tests. One with default settings- no issues. Second test with 2x AA, no issues again.
FurMark (10.8)- Within a few moments of starting up FurMark, multiple black bars popped up on the screen and kept moving around. GPU was hissing/wining very loud, and a Brown Screen as described above occured. It recovered, but I closed the test (Brown screen popped back up before the program closed) and I rebooted. Watched a TYT video NOT IN FULL SCREEN, and in moments received a White screen of death. -

6) Driver installation method used: uninstall previous driver, driver sweeper in safe mode, install driver
Results:
Both 10.6 and 10.8 did not give GSOD while running WEI score, on default vBIOS both gived GSOD while running WEI
Both 10.6 and 10.8 gives Red Screen of Death during Furmark. 10.6 gived after 1-2min, 10.8 gived after 10min. 10.8 also gave screen flickering
10.8 gave GSOD in L4D2 Hard Rain, only improvement that it gave it a few min later than with default vBIOS
I analyzed the memory dump that was made after 10.6 and 10.8 crashes, here are the results:

Results: At 700/1000, I GSODed on Starcraft 2 in less than 10 minutes every time I played (approximately 10 tests). At 705/1000, 705/1100 and 710/1100, I did not GSOD per se, but every 5 minutes or so the screen would go black for 15 seconds, the screen would reset, and I could continue playing the game. At 710/1000, the game froze during a cut scene and the computer was completely non-responsive, much like a GSOD. -

I got my G73Jh 2 hours ago, I made a clean W7 Install, I installed 10.8 drivers and got my first GSOD while running Windows Experience Index. I updated BIOS and vBIOS and everything seems....OK, nevermind, just got a GSOD after 8 minutes in Furmark, 93C and the screen was flickering for 3 minutes. I am going for MSI vBIOS. Good luck.

Most of the time games run fine but notice that Left 4 Dead 2 has some glitches like it's about to have a gsod but only does it for a few seconds. Also gsod in Metro 2033, first time it has completely locked up using the new vbios. -
1) Current BIOS: 211
2) Beta vBios or Modified Beta vBios: Chastity O/D Vbios
3) ATi Catalyst Version: 10.8

Had to set clocks to 800/1100 otherwise windows bluescreened on initialising the 'welcome screen' in win 7. GSOD on pretty much anything using the video card before flashing to beta, now no GSOD. i get the downclocking flicker but it doesn't seem to be doing any harm. -

^Theres a newer one? As in one newer then what Gary gave us to begin with to fix GSOD's?
EDIT: Figured Id contribute to the original purpose of this thread
1. 211
2. Garys Beta vbios, but will likely be changing that soon
3. 10.8
4. Stock, so im not too sure if thats what those are, probably not.
5. 700/1000
6. Driver sweeper/clean install
All is well except for the most random lag spikes in all my games now, its very intermittent...hopefully the new 10.10 will solve that.
2nd EDIT: DRevan, thats the one that I had, just making sure
2. Took Chastity's modded vbios and modded it a little further, to my liking, now idling at 46C and am a happy camper(still dont know why I cant downclock as far as I used to, even when lowering voltage)
3. 10.10 fixed my lag spike problem, smoothing sailing from here on -
-
Actually it still does. Less frequently, but it does (got a few GSODs after a week or so of using it, as well as a few other users and some are getting few-second glitches similar to GSODs). And its not my laptop or GPU, becouse it works perfectly with the MSI vBios (for over a month now).
People still might have problems with the "newest beta". Its not official for a reason - its NOT finished.
Powerplay is still broken (too little profiles - medium and high load are a single profile, clocks are way too high on low load and memory clock doesnt even use powerplay but is constantly set at 1000 and clock switching sometimes gets "stuck" at low clocks when it should clock up under load), overdrive is still broken (memory doesnt downlock with powerplay if you set overdrive) and its still not fully stable. Asus still hasnt done their job. It can be done as you can see from MSI, but they just dont care.
Lucky Asus isnt the only laptop manufacturer with a mob. 5870 in their laptops so i dont have to rely on their half-assed work.
Beta vBios Results ONLY
