Hi everyone, brand new to the site. I've looked through some other posts and really hope someone can help. I dropped my G73JH. I think I'm going to cry. The screen is white, so I guess it's broken, but I know I can buy another screen. The computer tries to run, but goes super slow. Am I screwed?? Can anyone help? I would appreciate it. I don't know how I will survive with my computer!

Yeah, I tried that. I bought it through Best Buy! Could I try replacing hard drives or anything?

Yeah, it could be a hard drive thing making it run slow.

RMA it. They will fix it but charge you.

I bought in June 26, 2010, OK. now I'm home and looking at it. The screen is all black and white. When I turn it on, I can hear something running, sounds like normal. However, I can't get the display onto another screen to see if anything else is broken.

I believe if you got it from best buy then it is not part of the regular Asus 1 yr accidenal warranty since it is subsidized from them, but double check anyway

I just checked for you, bad news

You could try hooking an external monitor to it to see if it is the screen that has gone bad.

If it doesn't work on an external monitor, your video card or motherboard may be damaged. Check the RAM to make sure it hasn't fallen out of the slots. You can see the GPU from the access panel, so look at that too to see if it's moved out of the slot.

You'll probably have to send it in for RMA, but if you don't have any kind of accidental damage warranty on it, you'll probably have to pay for the repair yourself.
