Hello,
Is it possible the bios update (the latest from the official Asus Rog Website) fixes the spinning down problem for the primary HDD? But it still spins down more frequently for the secondary HDD?
And now it seems the primary Momentus doesn't go up and down spinning but keeps spinning at the same pase.
I just need confirmation cause else I just need to change the secondary harddrive in an Wester Digital and the first one the same.
Best regards,
Vincent

I believe you can update the Momentus XT's firmware and that will fix the spindown issue. I'm not sure though. I don't know of any Momentus problem so I just assumed you're talking about the Hybrid Momentus XT

Is that even a BIOS issue? Sounds more like OS power-saving settings and/or drive firmware issues to me...

you can use the Intel Rapid Storage Technology to give you the S/N for your drive and click the 2nd option then type your S/N to determine if its needed or not. -
yes, it's the HDD's firmware issue, not the BIOS.
