    Blu Ray Burner + G53SW

    Anyone got any experience adding a Blu Ray Burner to a G53SW? I'm thinking of adding one to mine, and was hopping for some tips. Do you need to swap out the bezel from the DVD Burner to make it look right?

    Pictures would be great :D

    Making the swap on the G53 is a little more tricky than some other machines. You will have to disassemble the machine slightly to get to the optical bay. Take a look at this video of a hard drive replacement. Watch up until the install gets up to the actual hard drive (about the 10 minute mark). There is a single screw to the right that holds down the optical drive. You will need to replace the bezel using the original if you want it to sit flush.

    Thanks for the info Brett! I guess I could talk to ASUS about possibly just buying a bezel with the logo, but that isn't much of a priority.

    Sorry to bring this topic back to life, but did you ever have any luck getting Asus to sell you a bezel with the bluray logo on it?
