    Blu Ray Drive disappeared on G73JH

    Hello guys first post here...I was installing a game on my laptop and when I inserted one of the CD's in the laptop 5 sec later the drive stopped working and it totally disappeared from the laptop, i cant see the drive anymore, i cannot eject the cd, I cant find it in the device manager, i cant find it anywhere, help me out guys, whats happening?

    Might seem like a dumb question but have you tried restarting the laptop and checking the BIOS to see if it still recognizes the drive?

    Yes ofcourse i have, and it doesnt even appear in the bios, the drive seems to be disconnected no power coming to it and i cant even take out the drive.

    Well, getting to the Drive itself ain't that much of a problem, you just gotta unscrew the 2 screws on the bottom pannel, and the one of the drive itself. to the right of the pannel you just unscrewed). The only thing that could have gone wrong with this is that it wasent attached properly, so maybe pull it out, and put it back in. But chances are slim for that to work though...
    Couse you say it did work, so my guess would be that its somethin else, somethin worse... And about the warranty-void, there's only a sticker on the CPU-screw, so I guess your safe with that.. And ye, if that doesnt work, its gonna be an RMA, unless you wanne buy an external blu-ray drive, but that just sounds lazy, since you got a kick- laptop :p.

    so i took it to the dealer and he just replaced it for me in 10 min, but now it is detected but its not recognized as a disc drive whenever i put a cd i cannot open it and its telling me access denied, do i have to do anything?
