    Hey,
I was wondering how to fix my blu-ray device. MATA BD-CMB UJ141AS. It work fine with Dvds and Cd-roms but im not able to watch blu-ray disks. I tried to watch differents movies with Powerdvd9 and Windvd Bd from the asus download center, no luck. Is it Hardware or Software issue? maybe drivers update that im not aware...

    Thanks.

I finnaly found how to fix it.

    -right click my computer icon/properties/hardware,
    -expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers,
-right click Intel (R) PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 4 Port,
    -properties/drivers,
    -click on roll-back driver" button,

Intel (R) PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 4 Port drivers seem to be malfunctionning with win7.

I just got my G73Jh froma buddy and the Blu-Ray is not working at all. I tried the rollback driver option but still no joy. I was told that the optical drive is the same as yours, MATA BD-CMB UJ141AS, but I cannot find a driver for this to save my life. IN fact, my laptop sees the optical drive as a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT30N. ANy clues??

    Thanks

Are you set on AHCI in BIOS? I recently upgraded for SSD, i had to switch to AHCI and since then my blu-ray dont work properly so im using it as external drive with sata-usb cable.
