I have an Asus G60VX that I wanted to get a blue tooth module for, but I can't find one.

Does this laptop have the option to add one? If so could you help me find the unit I need? At least the name or product number of the module. I am aware there are USB blue tooth modules but I can't spare a USB port, so if possible I'd like an internal module.

Also, how do I tell if I have the best buy version?

I got it used, so I'm not sure...

It's the blue shell if that makes a difference...

RBB__ is always indicative of a Best Buy model.

I can move this thread to the ASUS subforum where you would get more answers than the Hardware forum.

I have the Asus G60VX. I was told you can tell if it's the best buy version if it says G60VX-RBBX05 but I don't see that underneath my laptop. Where and how do I find this number? I need to know for sure if its best buy or not because I may look into a better processor since that's the only part in this laptop that's not up to par with my needs.

    Is it a USA version?

There were a few european variants, -JX040C, JX040V, and JX004K. In the US I think the G60Vx submodels are only RBBX05 and RBBX09 which are the best buy models.

All asus laptops have a label on the bottom that will tell you the model variant, the first two pics in this thread show what they look like:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/487940-asus-rma-warranty-guide.html

Sometimes they can wear off or fade, but you should be able to make it out in the right lighting conditions... hopefully.

Yeah, as far as I can tell or remember there were no -A1 or -B1 variants of the G60Vx. Only RBBX** which is best buy.

Whether that means anything for quad core support or not I don't know.

You'll have to take off the bottom panel or use cpu-z and see what the motherboard revision is, and compare it against the reports in the G51Vx quad core thread.

    Here's the bluetooth story:

Just saw this. Merging your two threads together.
