i recently bought my G73jh,all of the games i played worked so far. Then i testen GTA4: episodes of liberty city and after about 20 minutes playtime i get a bluescreen in which "atikmpg.sys" is mentioned.i have win 7 64bit version and the catalyst mobility 11.1 installed. ive read that this bluescreen comes from a driver problem, should i just install one version before 11.1 ?

Wow. I had exactly the same BSOD with 10.12 but it never did it in the middle of a game. It did it while idle. I think it was happening just as the screen tried to go to sleep. I haven't had any of that with 11.1 and very few people ever reported it with 10.12.

I hope others have better advice for you. I think I would flash to Chastity's vBIOS which is in her driver guide. Remove 11.1. Run DriverSweeper in safe mode to clear out the remnants of 11.1, and finally reinstall 11.1. If you still have BSOD (I don't think you will) then try 10.10. It was pretty darn stable.

You will like Chastity's version of the vBIOS. It idles your GPUat 405MHz when not gaming. It ramps to 500MHz to play videos and then ramps to full clock speed to play games. It also enables Overdrive in case you ever want to bump your GPU clocks up past stock a little bit.

Sometimes when I am shutting down my laptop BSOD interrupts it or while exiting some applications. Why?
