Im planning to buy a bluetooth headset for my G73 and i wish to know if it would work with HDMI plugged in because on the threads here it said that it their headsets didnt appear in Realtek.

Is there some kind of workaround?

This is true as sadly select asus models its
    " Built-in Bluetooth™ V2.1+EDR (optional) "
like I know best buy is sadly famous for making Asus remove or rather not include it at all in many models but I dont know about yours.
So before you drive your self nuts or go out and spend anything first make absolutely sure you are not in this category of infamy

Hears how to find out Go to the Device manager ether by the control panel than in Device manager open the little arrow next to the Bluetooth Radios than if look for BT-xxx like mine is the BT-253 because I have Asus Bluetooth 2.1+EDR but if you have nothing then ether you dont have any Bluetooth at all or if the only thing you find is the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator their is a 50/50 shot you have it but its disabled in the hardware then you need to find the hardware F key or Wireless button or switch

but even if you have It are you trying to send the sound to 2 places at like both the bluetooth and the HDMI at the same time if the answer is yes to this I wold say no you cant as HDMI needs the SPDIF ( IE the Digital only ) Where as the bluetooth is Mostly considered Analog only.

But if you want to only use the bluetooth for the sound and the HDMI for only Video than yes you can if both the sound and video cards Support this. I can do this in my older 8600M GT By disabling the HDMI sound in the nvidia control panel Manually after I connect it to my samsung LED HD TV.
Than you must again Manually after that set your sound to the Speakers or analog but not Digital.
Than make sure to also select the right device in your video player ether your anything not digital I cant really say other than that as I need more info on your software and system to make any individual directions or recommendations these all in one. but I have done some cool things with some very cool but little known stuff like bluetooth optical drives Wi-fi cards that kind of thing

I have BT-270 on my G73 and yes i only plan to use the BT Headphones for only the sound. All i am concerned about is if it would display on the realtek control panel. Thanks for the info anyway.

Long post made short: It will work, you'll just have to use your windows sound manager to specify which output is required for sound (HDMI vs. Bluetooth). Also, HDCP may foil you if you're using a protected source.

Also, who cares if it shows up in the realtek panel? If it works, it works. If you want "pretty pretty shiny"... well, realtek isn't exactly what you should be using.

The device should provide its own controls.
