I have the refurb BB G73JH and doesn't come with BT but it comes with the drivers installed, I guess they image these units all from the same stock. I want to add BT but I don't see any guides anywhere that show you a step by step process to do so. Based on the disassembly video I gather the BT module and cable is way inside the guts of this beast, if this is correct, then, to add BT I have to break the thing apart and work myself into the BT area correct?

When choosing a BT module I see the BT-183 everywhere on ebay, is this the only module that works? BTW, I have an old Truemobility from Dell the TM 350 and its cable, will this work on this laptop?

Finally, the least expensive and fast way to add BT is to sacrafice a USB port and as a last resort I would consider this option, but if I do, what BT dongle should I get?

    Thanks in Advance.

easiest thing to do is get a nice 2.1 usb dongle. cheap and they work.

So is it best to stay away from the internal BT option?

Internal would be cleaner (aesthetically), but if you're only interested in capability, dongle is easier and probably less of a hassle.

nobody said anything about transfers here...

I also had the same concern you did and when i saw that you have to take the laptop almost completely appart to put in BT module i just bought a BT dongle...less expensive, its small and barely visible and allows me to use my magic mouse. BT plug is situated right under the ROG logo on the right side of the touchpad

sure, those mini-BT dongles work great. I have a Rocketfish branded one myself.

The ASUS Branded BT Dongle would probably be a great choice.

I use an IOGear brand - As long as it's 2.1 you should be able to do all you ever want and can do with BlueTooth.
