Hi guys. I just got my X1 three days ago and I've been loving it. However, when watching a movie just a few hours ago, I noticed a a pixel was stuck displaying a bright green and would not change.

I tried running JScreenFix applet to fix it, but it didn't work. I know that ASUS provides their so-called "Zero Bright Pixel" Guarantee, but if I could avoid sending my dear new toy away, that would be preferable.

Is there anything I can do, or must I ship it off to be fixed by ASUS?

PS - I got this from newegg, do you think they will do anything for me differently than ASUS?

    THANKS

I have never been able to get pixel color changing apps to work but I have been able to "massage" stuck pixels out multiple times using a damp cloth and my finger or a pencil eraser end with the cloth on it, theres many guides on how to do this if you just google fix stuck pixel. I personally would try it first just be gentile and if doesnt work send it in for replacement.

I tried following a few suggestions (including yours) based on some info over at WikiHow. Unfortunately nothing seemed to improve the stuck pixel (damn, it's so tiny too. How annoying).

I guess I'll RMA it off to ASUS for a replacement screen. Thanks for the reply
