I've done my homework. I am gonna be a part of the ROG family soon. The laptop I am gonna get based on my research and budget is the G73JW-QA1-CBL. I've found a bunch of deals and compare it here.
Now for my story.
I started my mission for a new laptop after generating 1 fps playing sc2 on lowest settings. I could not micro a single unit and saw units moving 2cm at a time across my screen every 1 second. Frustrated and pissed off I turned off the game and started a google marathon of gaming laptops (4 hours of googling for the best possible laptop, and then downgrading toward my budget. I first came across the g73jh. Then after going to the asus web site and watching the videos, I fell in love. g73jw was her name. But which model do i get?
Since I live in Toronto I wanted to avoid shipping andhandling charges and pick it up at the store. and these were the models I found and some are on special right now. These are the lowest prices I found. (all prices are in canadian currency)
A1, blueray, 8gb ram, 1tb HD...the most common one $1,699.99

The one I am gonna get is this one...
G73JW-QA1-CBL, blueray, 4gb ram, 750gb HD $1524.99

*All X models are missing the mouse and backpack*
The reasons for this are because of...
First is the price, the lower the better.
Second, I may want to upgrade with a SSD, when the price comes down
Third, I must have a blueray.
Forth, I like the 6 button mouse and backpack
Finally, I only need 4gb of ram to run sc2 and can buy more later down the road when the price comes down, or when i can afford it.
Here is what I would like to know.
I've seen posts here talking about amazon and how there great customer experience they had with lemons or bad products and how they exchange them.
But I want to know if anyone has experience with lucomputers. if anyone have purchased anything from them and how they are with there customers.
I also want to know if I found a good price for the model that I want??
Buying a G73JW-QA1-CBL in toronto, ON. My story then questions.
