    Long story short....
Guy bought brand new G53SX, bricked it right away trying to update bios, takes it back to store, store deals with Asus for repair.
2 months later he gets brand new unit, but it turns it it's a used/refurbished unit as it show signs of usage, on top of that it has Power Buttton issue, it gets power, front light are on, but power button does not work and cannot put machine on.

I want to buy this laptop at a low price and deal with fix and warranty issues myself, seller says he haven't registered the warranty online yet, he bought another laptop in the meantime, so this one is a spare.

What do I need to make sure on to get full warranty on unit, what should be provided with the laptop, any warranty card ?
Don't want to get stuck with unit that will turn out to be under no warranty.

You should always assume that a used laptop will not be honored under warranty. WHile I have RMA'd various stuff with ASUS over the years, I have yet to do a notebook. I have not needed a receipt for anything else, but I know they are far stricter with notebooks. I'd pass and just expect it to not be honored.

Don't all Asus notebooks have a 1yr accidental damage warranty? I thought that transfers with the owner.

The accidental warranty is non-transferable, and most big box retailers do not sell the systems with accidental coverage. The standard warranty is transferable.
