There is a similar thread located here, only for the G73JH.

Does anyone have this notebook and Black Ops? I'm curious how the video card and stock processor handle it since this is kind of the new hot game out right now.

I got the game a few days ago and It runs really smoothly. I read about this game going through a lot of lag on machines that exceed the min requirements, but luckily the g53 doesn't have any of these problems (so far). The temps do get quite hot though, today I reached a max of 84C for the gpu, and 74C for the cpu.
This is of course on max settings.

Just played it on my new G73JH.

My highest temps were 76c GPU, 66c CPU

Ran just fine, no issues at all. Other than me getting my handed to me :D

For a laptop it still runs the game fairly respectable. Don't expect to max out all the settings by any means, but it will do just fine running 1366 x 768 resolution on normal settings without any issues at all. If you did a slight overclocking on GPU you might beable to run full 1080 res on normal settings, but i seem to get a bit of stuttering at stock settings with the following upgrades; corsair 16gb of CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 and 120gb intel SSD with black ops loaded on to it. but like i said earlier it will run the game just fine at the 720p resolution on normal settings even if it was a completely stock G53JW. If you have any other questions about games or G53 in general just hit me up.

works pretty well on my G53JW on 1920x1080 for online play. Just remember to tweak a bit of the video settings.

Don't buy it! This game sucks on PC. Stereo audio only, what a joke. Stick to MW2 or BFBC2. I am so disappointed in this game. Fortunately I only paid $36, but considering BFBC2 was on sale for $7, I feel totally ripped off. Trearch totally sold out pc users to get the game out by Christmas for console users.

To answer your question though, the JW will run it at 40+fps easy at max settings. My JH has no issues with it.
