I had horrible stuttering like most of you. This fixed it for me and I suggest you try:

1.) Remove your config file. I'm using the default.
2.) Configure your graphics as you see fit.
    3.) Turn Vsync on.
    4.) Turn shadows off.

This has pretty much eliminated my stuttering and I can now, finally play the game. Shadows were killing me. As a test I turned vsync off and shadows off and my fps went through the roof but gameplay was still choppy. Once I used the combo of vsync on; shadows off I was golden.

tl;dr - turn vsync on and shadows off.

Could someone give me a link to the hotfix oqix is suggesting? I tried googling but I want to make sure they work with my mobile card. Would I have to edit a file as well? thanks to whoever....
EDIT: Nevermind, pretty sure I found the right one.

    Here is the link: Download

It's classic installation just run setup and install when it says that drivers are not digitally signed click Yes I won't to install anyway. Drivers are from another forum.

I don't have stuttering on mine running 10.8, with vsync on and shadows on.

And the winner is....Hax0rJimDuggan!!! Sorry and thanks a lot for the help oqix but it didn't work for me. I then just turned shadows off and BAM! No more lag/Stutter issue! Not once. It actually felt so weird not lagging every two seconds. So weird in fact, that I did worse than I normally do with lag lol.

Hey, thanks for the tip, just that one change of disabling shadows so far has completely fixed the lagging.... awesome! Thanks!
