Hi folks - how is Modern Warfare 3 running on the G73JH? Thanks!
-
i saw a video on youtube saying Maxed without antialiasing
-
It runs very smooth on my G73JH (i7,6GB,5870), high details on Full HD
-
Runs great. All max settings @ 1920x1080 and x2 AA. Mostly steady 85-90FPS using MSI afterburner to check. It dips into the 70's occasionally but the game runs super smooth.
-
Cause its basicly Modern Warfare 2.
-
If your screen is blurry, you are actually running on low quality textures.
Because my G73SW only runs 35-40 fps. Everything Maxed out. -
i think you mean modern warfare 2.5
-
At least multiplayer shooters should run smooth also on older systems, for example BF3 has so high requirements that a lot of people I know can't even play it on lowest details (e.g a i5 NB with GT320 graphics). That (and Origin) might be a reason why the BF3 servers are often quite empty and the CoD servers filled.
I'm quite satisfied with both games, I generally like the feeling of CoD more but miss bigger maps and vehicles. -
BF3 owns MW3 in every single way not because its a better game, because its actually different to BC2. -
I wouldn't consider this game a waste of money because it is actually a lot of fun. The dedicated server option is great. I like to play on the tactical crouch servers, and this allows for this. I hope there is an update that allows dedicated servers to be ranked.
I have both BF3 and MW3. Gameplay on both games is entirely different so you really can't compare the two. I know there are COD and BF3 fan boys, I guess i'm in the middle. I really enjoy both games. -
That's just my opinion though. I stopped playing BF3 after a week and went back to BC2. Never looked back. Nowhere near as fun as BC2 let alone BF2 or even 1943. Sometimes different isn't always better, besides it's not even THAT different. It's pretty much BC2 with a shinier coat of paint, a crappier unlock system, worst maps and lots of unnecessary crap thrown in (I love those flashlights /sarcasm) and of course, Jets. It tries to be BF2 and BC2 and it also tries to appeal to the CODheads to get more sales but it fails on all counts. I hate that game, so disappointed.
At least COD is consistent and it just tweaks the formula and add new weapons, maps, modes, balancing and other stuff. There's nothing wrong with that, the formula is good and fun and should stay that way. For me Pre-BF3 Battlefield games>>>>COD games>>>>>BF3. -

Get an XM then well talk Grandpa Lionheart! -
As for the XM, Skyrim looks to be really CPU heavy so I was considering getting one because of that game. Console port syndrome going on there sadly. -
Still 5/5 10/10 and worthy of it, there is more than 6 months of gaming right there.
Add an XM and the JH does very well. -
I don't think a lot of people notice this, and they think the game is running even smoother than MW2.
My G73SW only runs 40-50 fps after the first patch. 285.79 beta driver. -
-
Yeah, didn't notice this at all.
First thing I popped into my mind was - game runs pretty smoothly at everything maxed and 4xAA, but man, do these textures look blurry. Had to drop AA but left everything cranked up after setting it to native, but now looks even better. -
all max all on ON setting (except shadows) aa 2x native image 1920 1080 vsync locked to 60 fps all the time.
stock g73jh stock clocks. -
Which driver are you using? -
Thanks folks! Great answers. I am off to purchase it!
-
Runs very smooth, almost no signs of slow down for me running on the max settings, glad to see you're purchasing it.
