For a Asus g73SW what is the max that the computer can hold for degrees?

    I overclocked my GPU

My GPU gets 80 degrees maximum
    and my CPU gets 85

Is the CPU too much. Before overclocked it was 80 degrees max for the CPU.

    1. Do not OverClock as much...
2.RePaste the CPU, with better compound
    3. Blow out the Vents
    4. Move into a Freezer
    5. Add a Water Cooling unit to the laptop
    6. Get a Cooling pad that force more Air into the unit.

    thanks for the tips.
I will no longer OC the card though.

    I took the 673/1250 to

    740/1375

2-) I am scared to do so, but perhaps I can find someone to do it for me.

3-) With what should I blow out the vents?

5-) What kind of a water cooling and how do i add it?

6-) Would you recommend me one cooling unit?

3 -> Canned air, you can buy a can for around 5-10$

5-> Water cooling was more of a joke :p

Also for the repaste I might suggest IC Diamond, it is pretty solid stuff, and lasts for a very long time. Or you could get a tube of Arctic Silver, I've had good experiences with that too.

My laptop is 1 month old.
DO i really need the repaste?

I hate to send it to the service, cause I cant do it myself.

Both perfectly within operating conditions, maybe a little high for the SW but you dont need to worry until you see the 90's on the CPU or the 100's on the GPU at full load or under intensive usage.

My problem is the CPU more than the GPU

    CPU gets to 85 (maximum)

Just now I played Black Ops for 30 mins,

    CPU

    Core 0 ---- 77
    Core 1 --- 80
    Core 2 ---- 80
    Core 3 ---- 82

    GPU 71

I am extremely happy with the GPU heat but CPU is worrying me a bit.

The sandy is powerful so those temps are perfectly normal the CPU is made to handle 105oC T max.

As I said above do not worry until you see the CPU in the 90's or the GPU in the 100's.

    THank you a lot.

My CPU used to be max of 78 before but the weather just got hot drastically, i believe a warmer room temperature also rises those values too.

Anyway. Nothing to worryabout until 90 than :D

Amibent temperature/humidity plays a massive part on the operating temps, mine shoot up 5-7oC in the summer and I live in England where we have a wintery summer :p so you have nothing to worry about.

Room temp definitely rises temperatures, i see an increase of around 8C in GPU temps if the room temp is 26C instead of 21C in furmark. Of course under gaming, the temps are much lower. That's when the AC comes in, even if you don't reduce the temp much you can at least remove the humidity.

    One last question.

    When overclocking the GPU

Does the CPU temp also rises? or only the GPU temp rises?

You'll barely see an increase in CPU temps, maybe 1C or so.

Thats great news. I can overclock my GPU calmy since its around 75 degrees lately.

    Ok another last question :)

Would a video card have different performances when it is 70 degrees and when it is 80 degrees?

or would it be the same performance no matter what the temperature is (besides over 100 over course)
