just got my g73jh repasted by a computer tech (dont have the balls to do it myself). Temps are fantastic but now my cpu fan (the one on the left) will intermittently turn up to full speed for about 10 seconds and then turn off for 10 seconds. This just keeps repeating. Average idle temps are 44c on all cores. After monitoring temps for awhile, when the fan comes on doesn't really seem to be associated with the CPU temps Any ideas?
    Thanks!

*note* I had both the CPU and GPU repasted. As stated, the CPU cores idle at 44c. GPU idles around 54c-55c.

Take it back to them and tell them to un-molest your computer.

Do they guarantee their work? It's their responsibility if so. Just take it to them and explain that something is wrong.
Fan speed, I think in the G73, is MoBo controlled. So they screwed something up, I assume.

Switch back to the 209 BIOS. I didn't like 211 either and switched back to 209 after 10 minutes. The 211 BIOS is just ASUS's answer/cover up/cure to the horrible TIM jobs they have done on these machines. BIOS 211 sucks big time IMO.

211 seems fine to me. My G73 is still as silent as ever, you never hear the fans or anything. I see no difference really from 206 to 211 except 2 of my issues were fixed.
