Any G53 owners kind enough to do a speaker test? Make a video and put it on youtube? Play any song you want/movie/games. It will give myself and many others a good idea of what to expect from these laptop speakers! I'm also trying to get an audio comparison between G53 and other Sager/MSI models!

The speakers aren't anything special on the G53JW. Mine have no bass and just average sound quality.

You're much better off getting a newer MSI laptop with the dynaudio speakers if you're an audiophile.

Thanks for the input! There is always a trade off. MSI models are noisy with their one fan but good audio. G53 models are almost quiet but not so good audio.

If you're on a tight budget and want speakers that are better than the G53's speakers, then I recommend these: Crystal USB Desktop Speakers

Do they have much bass? No, of course not... but they sound surprisingly clear (much clearer than the G53's speakers) and they provide a good stereo "image".

The G53 speakers are VERY tiny and weak.

So apart from the Dell JBL speakers and MSI, there are no other laptops with good speakers?

    Thank you

How good of a sound are you expecting from 2" speakers? The G73 is decent because of the additional 3", but it still doesn't compare to the pair of 5.25" drivers in the Sony iDock I mentioned earlier.

One should have realistic expectations from laptop speakers. :)

No "video" is going to help you compare speakers in the laptop when compared to other laptop speaker videos. There are just too many variables - recording levels, music played, EQ settings, location of mic, quality of compression...

Is this your first laptop? Because no one shops based on speaker quality. There are some laptops you should avoid because their speakers are crap (3 sets of mono speakers, etc), but laptop speakers are *all* garbage. FWIW, avoid anything with beats branding, and be very skeptical of altec lansing. They're all just marketing schemes to get you to pick one laptop over another based on almost non-existent differences.
