I ordered (amazon) the Asus G73SW-XA1 and I love this laptop, but it does not have a Blu-ray drive. I was kind of bummed but at the price I got it for I can't complain. This leads to some questions:

    1. Is it possible to get a good Blu-ray drive for this laptop and swap it with the DVD drive that is in it?
    2. How much do they cost?
    3. Will it void the warranty?
    4. Would I be better off sending it back and buying a laptop with a Blu-ray already installed?

It's very simple to change the ODD. You just need to swap the faceplate. Doesn't impact the warranty. Just put the original drive back in b4 any service.

I've done this on several ASUS laptops. I haven't spent over $80 for the BD-ROM upgrade.

    Cheers,
