    No, it's not a problem. My HWINFO32 shows my GTX 460m @ 16X but it's still 2.5 GB/s bandwidth like yours.

The reason for this is because Asus decided to cheap out and use the H55 chipset which limits throughput.

There won't be any performance issues with the bandwidth though. 2.5gb/s is more than enough for a mobile GPU.

I think there is something wrong with my graphics card or CPU. I only get about 1.6gb/s

Could it be my vBios? I used Garys at first then I went to chasitys and only used the updateod in the boot thing.

Make sure you're on High Performance and your CPU is at 100% min/max state.

Just tried that still the same results. Does your test use only "1" CPU in task manager?

@Bumble what games do you play?

    Everything except RPGs and MMORPGs.

    Nope. Varies from 12-20.

Around 30-40 for BC2 at 1080p, on med-high settings. Smooth 55-60 and above for Blackops, maxed out.

Hmm. In black ops do you get like terrible FPS looking at certain areas of maps?

Yes it does matter. The 2.5 gb/s bandwidth does not. Having that bandwidth at 8x does not mean it's the same as x16 @ 2.5gb/s.

You want it to be x16. There are a few threads on NBR with this issue and some ways to fix it. I don't remember off the top of my head. The best thing to do is this.

Put down what your clock settings are here, your core and memory. And the drivers you are using. Bench it in some game that has a standard benchmark like Dirt 2, or Batman AA or whatever, or use a synthetic benchmark like 3DMark Vantage or 3DMark 2011.

And then compare to x16. I believe there should be a difference.

I don't remember any softmod fixes. Only an RMA to replace the GPU/motherboard from what I've read.

    Seconding the synthetic benchmark run.
