Hey all i understand this note book is VERY aged, as it is from 2010/2011. I saw another thread that talked about the gtx 560m fitting in the same notebook. i didnt get a clear answer, infact looking back on it i didnt get an answer at all. So here i am asking if a GTX 560m 1.5 will work in my g73jw?

It should, but honestly go for atleast a 660m over the 560m

i mean all i wanna do is just figure out if the 560m will work in my laptop. i dont want to go through all the hassle to find the right MXM card, maybe have to deal with bios. i just want something i know will work. i mean since the gtx 460m has the exact same pcb as the 560m, im assuming it will right? i just want to make sure that what i wanna do will work.

*sigh* if you're trying to upgrade the graphics card outside of the manufacturers officially supported list, it never be simply plug and play (bar a few examples) so if you want something that just pops in, look at Asus's website.

I'd settle for a block of generations that are definitely compatible with each other at at time, with a clear cutoff, though that would likely require too much collaboration between manufacturers.
