I would like to upgrade my G73JH's DVD-/+RW drive to a compatible Blu-ray combo drive that writes DVD's & CD's. I read that there is only one screw that holds the drive in place. I would like to know how to swap the outer tray piece for a smooth transition between drives. If possibe, could a link be provided where to purchase the Blu-ray drive and how to obtain the drivers?

    Thank you in advance :)

Not sure we need new threads for each question. However, check my sig for both questions.

thx for the insight. Could you please tell me an exact model that is fully compatible with my G73 so I can get the plastic out and start the process.
    Thank you.

yep, just get you a small flathead screwdriver and *gently* unsnap the clips on each side, and it pops right off.

Quick and probably dumb question. Is it require to install anything/ configure anything after a swap?

good question....my guess is that Windows 7 will probably automatically download the drivers. But to play back Blu-ray your gonna need additional software.
