Hi all, I recently tried reformatting my g73SW-A1 with the Windows 7 disc. During the install, at the point where I am at "Expanding Files 9%" an error window pop up saying that some files are corrupt, error code : 0x80070017. How can I fix this? This is a fresh new copy of Windows 7 I just burned.

Its most likely the disc(especially since you just burned it), so try to re-burn a new one and try again. Also could try the disc in another pc if you have one.

I havent ran into any problem reformatting and I've reformatted at least 5 times since I've had it :p.

Not only a bad burn, but could also be a bad image that you are using. Might wanna try it in a virtual machine if you can or have the time, though it could be easier to try another image of an usb stick.

I tried burning another disc, as well as using a bootable usb with the same error. I tried it on a different computer and it worked fine. What could be the problem?

That is weird that it's still doing it, but works on another pc. When googling i came across this, which is pretty much what you've done.

When you created the usb install did you load the ISO thru Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool?

Could be that your DVD drive / Hard drive is pooched (misreading/writing, etc).

This is really weird..I used the exact same CD that didnt work the first time, but this time I tried installing 32bit and it worked. After that I tried installing 64bit and it worked as well. I really didn't know what went wrong, but now it works. Thanks for the tips guys, I really appreciate it.

P.S. : Does anyone know where I can find the G73SW Driver Disc ISO? I know there is a G73JH/JW but not a SW iso file on here
