Just to start off I did search around for a bit looking for an answer before I started this thread...

I just purchased a G74SX and gave my old G50VT to my brother. I wiped all my stuff off of it and did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate for him. After all this I cannot seem to get Direct Console to work. I didn't have this issue before when I wiped from Vista and did a clean install of 7. It is installed but won't run, it literally does nothing when I click on it. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have all the ATK and intel chipset drivers installed, and then make sure power4gear is also installed before attempting to install DC.

ATK only has one driver, the other 4 are utilities, do I need those? The ATK driver is installed...

Chipset is a different story though, there are no drivers for the chipset listed on Asus' site. FWIW I am under the "Best Buy" G50VT. Not sure if the regular G50 stuff is compatible...
