Does anyone have recommendations for cleaning or otherwise revitalizing the portions of the Asus G73SW-XA1 outer case which are covered in rubberized black paint? Asus' manual is not of much help--it confines itself to the obvious points: don't rub, and don't use solvents.

I ask because I rested my left hand beside the touchpad and it seems to have left sweat marks on the black paint. Several gentle wipes with a wet cloth have now somewhat obscured them, but not removed them altogether. In the past I have successfully used a wet cloth with a very small amount of dishwashing liquid to clean the keyboard and flat black painted areas which are exposed to splashes and spills from breakfast cereal, but I wondered if there were better suggestions out there. (A casual search on this forum turned up no previous posts covering this issue.)

Dishwashing liquid is the best really as long as it is not too strong. There are other cleaners out there but you do not know what is in them and it is the grease that is the problem so washing up liquid is the best bet. Sadly if you use it often wear is inevitable and I do not think I have seen a laptop resold that does not have some sort of wear.

My Clevo the right touchpad button began to wear after only a few months from continuious pressing and the touchpad and arm rest are alluminium so there is just no point me bothering to clean it at all :)
