I'll sit this one out. 10.8 is working beautifully for me so I'll just see how it plays out for others. What's new in 10.10 anyway?

I think I'll wait for feedback first, do you have this one installed already Chastity?

I'd be suspicious of leaked drivers, make sure to scan for viruses. Chastity, you should at least post your source. :p

There's a mirror on the thread where it came from. There's no changelog there though. You will probably want to read the thread for details.

Edit: Risco also posted this driver:
Which is working for him on the N61JQ but it's not modded for mobility. The source for that one is here.

One of the first posts in that link:
"All open windows have pinked up a pinkish tinge after installing these drivers. Anyone else get that?"

Ouch. I'll wait for official 10.10, and even then... 10.8 is working fine.

If 10.10 is released, I'll wait a few days to update my driver. I need to read user's comments and performance :) or other incompatibilities. But, Yey!

Wusses! I'm all in Chastity. Downloading now.
I probably won't be able to benchmark until tonight or tomorrow though.

EDIT: After reading more about this driver I think I'll wait a day or two.
    Sorry

    Hi,
I am currently using this drivers and I am happy with them. I have no problem with underscan and the performance is quite good even overclocking is good. My vantage score with overclocked CPU and GPU to 1872Mhz and 840/1111 is P9515. Temperature of GPU is about 73°C at load.

Yes it is full load temp, but had similar temperatures before because I had repaste my GPU few weeks ago. So the point is the temp didn't increase in these drivers. There are new functions in this release. In ccc is new button HydraVision where you can set few settings. Also been added some video settings, and LCD Overdrive. The best things on those drivers is that works underscan properly on my LCD TV connected to HDMI.

Use them on my Desktop. FPS in SC2 went from 50Fps at start to 100Fps at start. Everything else feel similar to 10.9a's. Still need to give them a shot on the lappy soon. Been to busy lately.

Just the normal ATI uninstall for now since 10.9's have borked Driver Sweeper (seriously screws up my Desktop OS install when I use it.. Yikes).

Not a big deal if your going forward. The 10.10 betas have a complete install package to update everything from 10.9 and back. Just install over the older stuff. (Desktop tested, not laptop tested yet)

I've never used any driver sweeper application.

For ATI, the uninstaller works fine.

If I really want a clean registry (rarely) I do that manually.

What do you mean with this? I'm with 10.9a (love when the laptop boot and the menu moves automatically) and the performance is overall excellent. Are you pointing whit this beta one you can go higher (in gameplay) in SC2?

That's good news. Hopefully that FPS boost will carry over to notebook GPUs as well. I hope they fix the Pylon energy field and Metropolis slowdown issues in SC2.

I cant explain it directly. But when I was only getting 40-50fps in SC2 with no AA. Now with the 10.10 I get 70 at start with AA or 100+ without at start of a level. Pretty sweet.

Ill test my laptop with it when I get home tonight.

Inconclusive boost to FPS in SC2 on the Mobility chip.. Bounced between 40-50fps on both the 10.9 and 10.10 drivers.. Will continue to look around on this.
