    Clock skiping hour on Asus G73JH after sleepmode

    This has been going on since i got the laptop. At random the clock will turn back the hours on the clock. Minutes will be right but sometimes when i put the laptop to sleep it will turn back the hour .. 5-10 h at random.

    First i was thinking battery but if clock battey is dead then it will mess minutes and date?

    Test: Shutdown, and remove the battery pack. Wait a 1/2 hr and then boot her back up.

    I would shut down, unplug from AC, and wait... :)

    The RTC doesn't run off battery in sleep mode, and when the CMOS battery is low you'll lose more than just hours off the RTC time between system cold boots.

    Also...

    Check time zone setting (Windows uses this for local time conversions from the system's RTC time)

    If using internet time synchronization, try not using it, or vice-versa. You could also try another time sync server than the default time.windows.com server.
