Ehy Guys! So far my G73RXXB has been a beast :3
Really satisfied, even the AOU screen isn't that bad, anyway I would enjoy more one with better black (personal taste) so, how do you know which kind of LCD is compatible with the g73? I saw that everyone usually gets the Hanstarr full HD panel, but would like to stick with a 1600x900 one, any suggestion?
It isn't something I'll do tomorrow, I would just to take a look at what's on the market

Hey just checked out that link...im pretty noob so i have a q.

well in that thread, Xavier changed the LCD screen to one that has native res @ 1920x1080. Well i dont get it coz its the same screen size 17.3in (15.5"x8.98") as the stock screen so why would the native res be different? I dont know i just cant wrap my mind around it. Why not just change the res via Windows with the stock screen?

It's possible to force the resolution via Windows sometimes but the number of pixels that the screen supports will not handle it. The replacement screens should have better viewing angles and colors. 1600x900 to 1920x1080 will give more real estate on the same screen size.

Screen size does not determine resolution. The number of pixels are different on the screens. The BB screen only goes up to 1600x900 max while the replacement goes up to 1920x1080.

so after a long lcd replacement calls it seems like that there is no better 1600x900 17.3 inchs LCD on the market, the only slyghty better seems to be the Clevo hold HD+ one used on the w870u (may have misspelled it), this si very disappointing >:x
