If I connect my USB HDD or my USB stick to the left USB ports everything is fine. But if I connect them to the right hand ports, the computer becomes very sluggish and slow when I am copying data

I am using the Intel Pilote USB 3.0 PCH 8 Driver 2.5.0.19 on Windows 7 Professional x64

But even on Windows 8 it's the same problem so I dont' know if this laptop has a problem or maybe I should try another driver

    please help

I just restored my laptop to the state just before installing drivers and this time I did things a bit differently, here are the things I changed and now the problem seems to have gone away:

    I) Instead of installing the Intel Chipset Drivers 9.4.0.1017 which I got off the G750JX Drivers download page, I installed the 9.4.0.1016 Chipset drivers that are on the G750JX download page as that's my laptop model

II) Instead of installing the nVIDIA Graphics Driver 9.18.13.1183 , I installed the nVIDIA Graphics Driver 9.18.13.1159 which is specific to my model. I noticed with the newer nVIDIA Graphics Driver 9.18.13.1183, in 2D Mode (the desktop that is), everything is sluggish and choppy

III) Instead of installing the Keyboard Device Filter from my Laptop's download page which reads: KBFilter_Win8_64_Z1005 meaning it is specifically for Windows 8. I installed the same version but the Windows 7 one from the ASUS Drivers Download main page and the file name reflects Windows 7: KBFilter_Win7_64_VER1005

IV) Instead of installing the Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.6909 which is the latest one and the folder name reads Win 8: Audio_Realtek_Win8_64_VER6016909

I installed the Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.6870 and the folder name has Win 7 in it: Audio_Realtek_Win7_Win8_64_VER6016870

    V) Instead of installing the Atheros Bluetooth Driver 8.0.0.220 which the folder name reads: Bluetooth_QualcommAtheros_Win8_64_VER800220

I installed the Atheros Bluetooth Driver 7.4.0.170 from the ASUS Main drivers download page and the folder name reads: Bluetooth_Atheros_Win7_VER740170

VI) Instead of installing the Elantech Touchpad Driver 11.5.9.1 whose folder name has no Win 7 in it: Touchpad_Elantech_Win8_64_VER11591

I installed the Elantech Touchpad Driver 11.5.8.3 whose folder name has Win 7 in it: Win7_64_Win8_64_11.5.8.3

VII) Instead of installing Kaspersky Antivirus, I installed ESET NOD32

I don't know which of the steps above fixed the problem, and I don't want to speak so soon, but I managed to copy 20 GB of DATA from my laptop to the external USB HDD and used the system and there was no slow down at all.

I hope this fixed it and I hope these steps would help others. I tried to stick to drivers which say Win 7 in them as much as possible to avoid problems. It is very annoying that the G750JX Drivers download page has a Windows 7 X64 section but there are no drivers in it since a month now, everyday I check hoping ASUS would update that page and put some approved Windows 7 drivers but nothing It doesn't take so much work

Turned out it was a bad SanDisk USB 3.0 64 GB stick that was causing the slugishness, the moment I removed it everything went back to normal!
