    Hello,

I'm considering buying an Asus gaming laptop.
I am so confused which model to buy and what is the difference.
There is also the Sw model? What is the difference? Can someone please explain?

    ASUS G53SX-XN1 - 1,199.99
    ASUS G53SX A1 - $1,235.99
    ASUS G74Sx XA1 - $1,253.99
    ASUS G53SX-DH71- 1,436.56

PLEASE HELP ME. I dont know which one to buy and what is the difference? IS it the 1st gen or 2nd gen intel processors? I dont know, I did research but they give me the same specs for all of them.

Please do help me choose .

    Thank you.

I would go for the G74SX only because the video card doesn't have a gimped memory bus. AS for the difference between Asus models, everything that comes after the - will come down to difference in hard drive sizes, lcd resolution, optical drive and such. The CPU, GPU and motherboard will be the same between the same base model.

The G74SX would have a proper 3.0GB VRAM on the GPU for best performance, due to 192-bit bus, plus easy access for RAM and HDDs.

I will concur to make it 3/3. The G74SX only if you intend to run the latest games with higher settings and prolong its lifespan for gaming you need the GPU to be 192bit so that is your only choice out of the setups quoted.
