Hi guys just wondering if anyone else has had an issue with severly load crackling speakers.
The only way to stop it is to diable/uninstall the Realtek drivers.
It does not happen all the time but when it does i cant even stop it by plugging in headphones. A reboot will stop it it for a while but it will always start again shortly after the reboot. Have uninstalled deleted the drivers from realtek and allowed windows to install generic ones on the reboot which is fine but then plugging in headphones doesnt stop the sound from coming through my speakers.
Hope someone can help me the drivers that i am using are the SRS ones from the ASUS Website the creative ones will not install. Any different drivers or suggestions would be helpful thanks

Sounds like the sample rate is too low for it to keep up with. Try raising that.

I actually think I had this issue for a little while. For me it was driver related. I updated my drivers and it went away.

How do I do this ?
-
Nope. I have the latest realtek drivers and my problem hasn't gone yet. I get crackling all the time. Usually after I close some games or apps with sound.

Update it appears mine does not like youtube or any type of music/movie file eg avi files. close problem down and crackling goes away gaming is fine.
Maybe its a Media Player issue and whatever plays youtube vids -
No i get it in those as well. Anything that makes sound. I get that problem in some games not all.
Edit: Maybe this earlier thread can help you out

I was thinking that it could also be tied to the Power Management:

I know that it stems from the audio stream not matching the current default setting, but perhaps the disjointed setting can be triggered by Power Management. Worth a try. -

My speakers used to crack when my GPU would go over 105°C.
