I own Dark Void for PC. This game runs fantastic on the G73JH at maxed out settings at 1600 x 900. It probably runs just as well at 1920 x 1080.
Here's a link to downloading the demo. I highly recommend this game as a tech demo.

Here's a youtube video of the game in action. It is Not running on a G73JH.

It looks waaaaay better on a G73JH than on this video at max settings with no hiccups!!

looks fun.....

Looks fun but the game sucks!Bad!
Initially it not bad but gets pretty lame and boring once you figure out your going up against the same character every time.
My opinion stay away. -
That game sucks real hard. Looks like they made it in about 2 weeks.
-
maybe its unfair to compare the two, but playin Dark Void brought back
nightmarish memories of Ironman for the PC (*shudders).
my two cents? If u want a true taste of what this bad boy can do....
try:
1. Dirt 2
2. Metro 2033
3. COD: MW2
4. Mass Effect 2
5. GTA IV (or EFLC - For pure stress testing)
P.S. Dark void had promise ( few hrs into the gameplay, u cud tell that the scope of the game is quite impressive, but for me the outlandish storyline, clunky in flight controls, repetitive enemies almost killed it). Great Dialogues tho! -
Hasib-are those in order of desirability? I just picked up an A1 yesterday, and need something to show it off at work tomorrow
-
first up, Congrats on getting the A1. Mine's just got shipped today from TD.
desirability is very subjective my friend. If ur talkin about Graphics, then
Metro is really good (one the most atmospheric games I have played since the original FEAR). In terms of graphical prowess and sheer intensity, u just can't go wrong with Modern Warfare 2. N if u want to see what a game designed specially for DX11 can do, go with CM Dirt 2.
Hope this helps. -

The G73JH does a great job of running this game. Alienware & Capcom said that the M17x in SLI was needed to fully show PhysX effects in this game. But even with the 5870M PhysX is still installed and you can see the effects in the game.
For a GREAT tech demo download the demo from the link that I previously provided and if you like the game enough purchase it from the developer or go to the piratebay. -
P.S. I did finish the game - had to see how the story ended(Pointless trivia - what do u get when u mix the X-files, ABC's Lost and the Rocketeer, with a heavy helping of V - the popular 80's mini series?)
-
Thanks, just got done downloading the demo. I was lucky enough to find my computer at Fry's. Funny thing is they didn't have it listed when I checked online under G73JH, but I was down there anyway and found the one and only one they had. SKU is 6229230 for those that are looking.

Supposively you need 2 GPU's in SLI(Nvidia) to see full PhysX. There's a BIG difference from the GTX260M barely showing the PhysX effects to the 5870M showing alot of PhysX effects.
Dark Void? -
There u go!
-
Yeah, the awful flight control and cookie cutter plot killed the game.
Why would you recommend something like this to showoff a beast like the G73 anyways? There are pretty games like Crysi*gets shot* -

I still think that Crysis is an excellent tech demo... maxing that out at 1080p and max AA is pretty difficult even for the HD 5870.

Dark Void is a GREAT demo for what the G73 can do.
