Desktop for my gf (wrong forum I know)

So as I said in the topic I know this isn't the right forum for this topic. Why then, am I using this forum anyway? Well, in the past I've had a few issues with my Asus G73 and the people of this board have been incredibly helpful each time.

So as I sit down and try to figure out what desktop my gf should get... this was the first place to spring to mind to ask advice.

I'm guessing she probably will not want to exceed like $500 or so. Maybe more but, not too much more. We don't want a monitor just a tower.

I'm debating whether to just pop out to Best Buy, build on like ibuypower.com or something... or order from a major company's website, I really don't know yet.

Needs to run WoW well at high rez, and be viable for a few other fairly non stressful games but maybe Portal 2... it's been a long time since I bought a desktop and whenever I've done it I've always sort of gone for a really expensive, big, powerful system for gaming. I've never been in a situation before where I was trying to get something at the lower end of that spectrum, hence asking advice.

I'm not opposed to buying a desktop then replacing the vid card or something either.
