Diablo 3 Requirements

I just bought (a week ago) a new revision G73SW-A1 and now I read today that Diablo 3 is going to be a 3D game? Did I just waste 1700$? Will I not be able to play Diablo 3 on my pc bec it is not a 3d computer???
I am pissed off if this is true.

 

Diablo 3 will be 3D compatible. You can still play the game without 3D tech. The whole 3D thing is the most blatantly hilarious scam to date, IMO, so don't worry too much about it.

 

Thanks I don't feel so bad now. That's basically what I thought but I wasn't sure. I also agree that they really over hype the whole idea of 3d gaming. I think I will become convinced about 3D when we won't need any glasses to view in 3D mode.

 

I bought some NVIDIA Discovery 3D glasses just to play with.

 

I already use glasses... I pass 3D ....

 

Holographs man. That's where the future's at.

 

Pros: 3D view, 120hz screen.

Cons: Low resolution, Half the frame rate, eye strain, blurred vision, headaches....

Massively overated.

 

This is why my 3D investment consists of $3 glasses. If I don't like it, well, it's only $3.

This is not a flame bait and I don't want to start an argument over it, but i find the 3D rather enjoyable (both cinema tech and nvidia's 3D vision) instead of overrated...
Which also makes me to go to cinema and view a movie in 3d on a really big screen instead of watching it from torrents on a tv screen.

 

I love 3D movies. But for gaming I stick with the old school....OR if I don't get any lower fps. Eyes adjust from time to time.

 

I was in Gamestop (or Gamespot?) on the weekend and they said Diablo 3 will be out in November this year (I am in Canada). So I'll believe it when I see it.
Chastity: How do you view 3D with the glasses if the computer isn't 3D. Will it work if you put the game into 3D mode anyway even if the laptop is not a 3D type or do you have a separate 3D monitor or TV?

 

i believe there was a software too for 3D and one guy started explaining but then some admin shut down that thread

So many good games coming out this year you wont need to worry Witcher 2 will keep you going for a long time im sure then you have Duke, Dungeon Siege 3, Fable 3, Fear 3, Gear of War 3, and finally.

i am aiming into co-op games now (they are fun)
fable 3 is next on my list

 

I am still in awe of the witcher 2 it was slow to begin with but now im passed the prologue it is just gobsmacking. Makes Dragon Age 2 look cheap.

 

Don't forget Portal 2 and Rift.

Blehhh indeed, good thing i got a 360 too.

As for Diablo 3 we could always get a group together for multi if Blizzard doesn't region lock it like SC2... Don't even get me started on that, my buddies canadian and international were waiting to play some SC2 together when it came out so it ended up being a major downer. We're as primed for D3 so it better allow international play this time.

As Dallers said, so many games coming out this summer so the wait won't be too long. Too many for me to play them all actually. Thank god it probably won't be released at the same time as GW2, that would have problem.

 

This thread makes me sad. I pre-ordered D3 over a year ago for $40 on Amazon.
