Hey guys, I had a G73JW before and I loved it to death, I need to go mobile again but I wanted to keep my desktop this time around so my budget was lower than last time. I ended up scoring one off of ebay for $690 in mint condition, was that a good deal or a bit high? I kept finding others for the $550-$600 range but it seemed like they all had some kind of catch. Anyway, I'm looking forward to being a G owner again, some of the best value and a ton of power on the go.

Hi: I believe one of my friends got the same specs as your last year, and he spend over 1.5k, so I believe you got excellent deal. I recommend checking for dust and maybe updating the CPU. Also you can play many games in high or max out. Enjoy your new toy

    A ASUS G53SW-XA1 for $690?

That sounds like a great deal depending on specs.

Very good price full 192bit 460M GTX as well so you got a nice bargain.

In the UK that works out around £400 I believe so that model here for that price is unheard of. £1k at least here on Ebay.

Not really that hard to believe it has nothing to do with the brand hardware is harder to get hold of in Europe that is common knowledge and we also have VAT of 20% on all of our goods including imports and Asus have numerous outlets in the US we just have Asus UK and that is it so they are much harder to get hold of, hence the price.
