So I just downloaded the 213 bios from ASUS's website. Plopped it in the root of my C: drive (which is a brand new SSD), rebooted into bios, went to EZFlash, seemed to take just fine. I wasn't paying too much attention, just surfing on my main rig, when I look over and see the laptop powered down.

I go to turn it on...nothing. I unplug it, and the charging light doesn't immediately turn off.

Tried powering it on from battery, nothing.

Pulled battery and hold power down, then put back in and plug back in, nothing.

Reset button for 20 seconds, nothing. Removed new SSD and reseated memory, nothing.

Any other ideas I can try?

Sorry for what happened on your G73. There are plenty of threads saying that EZ Flash is dangerous to use for flashing, other's will advise you to use a flash drive to do it. Contact ASUS support.

    Good luck.

I thought EZ Flash was the safest way? Oh well, I guess it was due to the whole NTFS thing. I wish I had read that before I flashed it.

On the bright side, I haven't even used my G73JH in months, so I guess it's not that big of a deal that it's down for RMA. As long as I get it back in working condition before I move to South Korea for a year in 2012!!

Yeah, EZ Flash + NTFS = high % bricking

    RMA it
