I'm looking at the GX501GI-XS74 (2018 version, with the i7-8750H and 144GHz screen) right now as it is on sale in Canada. But there have been underlying problems in the first version of Zephyrus (GX501VI) with the inflating/swelling battery and thermals. Does anyone know if there are any differences between the two? I'm more concerned about the hardware performance. Does the 2018 version of the Zephyrus use the same battery (or same model of battery) as the old version? Does it have an updated cooling system?
