I see no difference. Maybe these are names of the same model for different EU countries.

I would ask you local Asus centre directly - they surely know the answer.

It is strange both models seems to be the same.
I don't see why ASUS sells the same machine under two names.
notebook.de sells them at the same price.

Yes, if the local prices are not too high it is better to buy it locally. When you buy it from USA for example you have to pay around 150$ for postage and then also local VAT+Customs in your country and additionally you have to buy a local keyboard which cost about 70 euros from asusparts.
The total price could come up to be very close to what you have locally.

The reason why I bought my N71JQ at start of Ferbruary from USA was that this machine was not available in Germany until around mid of April and I needed a new NB before that.

Im looking into buying in USA now, since its much cheaper actually, even if i have to pay VAT in my country, but there is no customs tax for electronics in Slovenia, and i get to customise it as i want (i7-820qm + Intel 6200 :) ).

If you want to it buy in USA, the shop that comes to my mind is Gentech PC.
It is the place where I ordered mine. They can do these customizations for you.

Ken Lee from Gentech is very good and provides super support.

You can contact him here and he will answer all your questions: http://forum.notebookreview.com/member.php?u=34663

Yes that's why I was recommending Gentech. Ken Lee is a person who is 200% motivated to help customers and also non-customers.

I know him through this forum since some years now. He is a great friend and he helped me always long before I became a customer of Gentech. :notworthy:
