    Digital audio out on Asus G74?

    Does anyone know if G74 has optical audio out? I'd like to connect Logitech Z906 5.1 to it.

    I've been sifting through google, but so far i've only found info on one site that G74 has S/PDIF, while Asus website shows no info on the matter...

    Unfortunately, the ASUS does not have that out. Here is a list of the I/O ports according to the tech specs:

    * 1 x Microphone-in jack
    * 1 x Headphone-out jack (S/PDIF)
    * 1 x VGA port/Mini D-sub 15-pin for external monitor
    * 3 x USB 2.0 ports
    * 1 x RJ45 LAN
    * 1 x HDMI 1.4

    The S/PDIF is there as part of the normal headphone jack out.

    You can buy a miniTOSLink adapter, which will reach the S/PDIF hiding behind the headphone out.

    Hello everybody, i've got a G51jx-3d, also with S/PDIF out from the headphone jack, do you know if it is also the same optical stuff I have to use with this one?? I know I can have DTS and stuff from the hdmi port, but I want to use it, like Daum says in a Z906 or Z5500 or something like that with optical or coaxial but i've no idea with which one I have to use it.
