Is there any way to disable touchpad (and the clicker for it) on the G73JH? I found it in the Device manager (Synapsis drivers already removed) but the 'Uninstall' button is greyed out.

This is the most annoying inconvenience i have EVER had to put up with - I can not even type a single line of text without my wrist touching the touchpad, at which time one of two things happens:

    1. It clicks the mouse and moves the cursor to somewhere else on the page, and i continue typing into the middle of another sentence

    or

    2. It starts clicking buttons on the screen and i end up losing my entire page of text (what just happened and inspired this post - I was typing up a letter to someone and it just refreshed the page and the letter was gone).

It has happened now SEVEN times while i was making this post. I really can not handle this, my blood pressure has been steadily rising because of this, from the moment i brought it home.

    Disable it in the BIOS.

Uhhh.... does Fn+F9 not work? Try reinstalling Synaptics driver without any USB mouse plugged in and it should function again.
