So, I got this laptop about 2 months ago now, And I am extreemly happy with it's capabilites. However, there is something that is bothering me.
Every once and a while, the dirvers will disapear. Some times its the keyboard drivers. Sometimes its the Display drivers. There have been acouple of cases where some of the other drivers have gone MIA. But most of the time it is the display and keybard.![]()
Up untill now, I've been happy with just having to do a system restore to an earlier point in time, thinking that the MIA drivers have had something to do with a program I installed. However, I haven't done any intallations in a while, and just 10 minuts ago, the display drivers disapeared. And not just disabled, I mean gone. Without a trace. Like smoke.![]()
I go to controll panel, and all that is there in the way of display devices is a Generic PnP Monitor that is already up to date. What all of this means is that I can no longer play games in 3D, or watch movies in 3D (Not the biggest tragidy ever, but it is still a problem none the less).![]()
The strangest part of all of this to me is that the computer han't been turned off all day. This morning, I was playing Starcraft 2 in 3D. Now, the option for 3D is no longer even in the nVidia controll panel.![]()
Similar things have happened with the keyboard drivers. Which kept me from using any of the laptop function buttons (Fn + F6 for example)![]()
I'm not compleatly inept at computers, but I'm definately not even close to being an expert. So if anyone has an idea of why this is happening, or what I can do to stop it, please let me know.![]()

I think you have some sort of malware at work, because that is very weird. I would restore the factory install image, or do a fresh OS install. If anyone else has any ideas, chime in.

That happens to me too. My drivers just start disappearing. I be playing a game and then after closing it I try to play it again and then a day later I notice under the Control Panel Steroscopic 3D has disappear. I just do system restore tough and it comes back. One time I just ignore it and a few hours later it came back. Too bad I can't play in 3D tough becuase of bad glasses.

Never did happen to me. -
Now that I look closer, the twin turbo button on my keyboard does nothing, the rest of the keyboard functions work fine, including the other buttons next to it. Have the keyboard drivers updatd and changed to disable it?
As an added side note to updating. Does the ASUS Live Update go excedingly slow for anyone else? It's not my download speed. Any ideas?
